About – The NB Rude Boys

The NB Rude Boys 2021

AUGUST 2020

A New England band that fuses the classic styles of ska, reggae, rock-steady and punk rock to deliver a spirited, live performance featuring slick vocals, solid rhythms and an energetic horn section.

The NB Rude Boys were formed in April 2018 by veteran musicians who share the common love for a style of music first played in the dancehalls of Jamaica in the 1960’s and a genre that continues to evolve, while attracting a solid base of dedicated fans across the globe.

The NB Rude Boys - in Concert

The NB Rude Boys first show in June 2018 for Jamaican ska-legends, The Skatalites, and the band has since shared the stage with many regional and touring ska, rock steady, reggae and punk rock acts, including Bim Skala Bim, The Ravers, Sgt. Scagnetti, The Copacetics, and were even featured as an opener in Boston at The Historical Landsdowne Pub for The Mighty Mighty Bosstones’ “HomeTown Throwdown” 3 day music festival! The NB Rude Boys are the House band for “Paul Santos Live” and also were featured at The Feast of The Blessed Sacrament as well as opening The Town of Dartmouth Summer Concert series this past June. They were also the opener for “The Specials” in 2019 at their House of Blues performance next door.
